How to Get to North Haven The Maine State Department of Transportation operates a ferry service three times daily from the midcoast city of Rockland, at 9:30 AM, 2:15 PM and 5:15 PM. The Captain Neil Burgess makes the trip in about an hour in calm waters. The Burgess can transport 17 passenger cars, fewer if the vessel is also carrying trucks. Vehicle reservations on the ferry are accepted no sooner than 30 days before the planned trip and are limited. To make reservations, purchase tickets or obtain information, travelers can call the Ferry Service in Rockland at (207) 596-5400 or on North Haven at (207) 867-4441.
