Sale of Town Owned Granite
The Town is selling the granite left over from the construction of the New Pulpit Harbor Bridge at the rate of $30/CY. The granite will be available for viewing, selection and purchase on Wednesday, August 23, from 3 to 5 PM at Elliott Brown's pit. Sales are final. Purchases are limited to 15 pieces and must be paid for by cash or check at time of purchase. Purchasers are responsible for transportation. Further information: call the Town Office at 867-4433.
Please remember that the burn pile is restricted to brush and untreated wood. (Latex painted construction debris is allowed.) Access to and use of the burn pile is primarily on an "honor system". The Transfer Station staff cannot continuously monitor the pile. The discarding of noxious and toxic debris which ends up being burned may result in drastic action by the state Department of Environmental Protection, up to and including permanent closure.

duties at the North Haven Transfer Station including, but not limited to
sorting returnables and tending the Single Stream Compactor.

The Witherspoon Airstrip is now in regular use. Please observe the warning lights on Pulpit Harbor Road. Stop, Look and Listen before proceeding. Be aware that planes landing from the west and crossing Pulpit Harbor Rd. may be very low indeed. No vehicles should be in the road, especially when planes are landing from the west.
