Attention Fishermen -- Pulpit Harbor Floats
On or about December 1st, the outer three floats will be removed and stored for the winter on Izzy's beach. Please plan accordingly.
Note: The side float will remain in the water for the winter.
Request for Proposals -- Town Office Roof
Description: This is a request for proposals to replace the Town Office Roof. The roof is currently shingled with asphalt shingles. The Town would consider proposals for both new asphalt shingles and for a metal roof. In addition, the work would include removing and replacing the gutters, repairing and painting the soffits and fascia boards, and performing other associated work as needed to ensure the roof and associated structures are free from rot. The Town should expect the materials and workmanship used to replace the roof to last at least 20 years.
Proposals Due: Submit proposals to the Town Office. You may deliver your proposal in person to the Town Office or send it via email to Rick Lattimer, town administrator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Proposals will be evaluated at the end of each calendar month until an acceptable proposal is received.
Performance Period: Negotiable.
Rockland Ferry Terminal Parking Lot -- Reopened
The Rockland terminal parking lot has reopened. The DASH shuttle will continue to run through Friday, October 26th, to help people retrieve their cars from the Hannaford parking lot.
Select Board Meeting Schedule
Beginning Tuesday, November 13th, 2018, the Select Board will resume meeting weekly on Tuesdays at 4 PM in the Town Office.

Recycling at the Transfer Station

Department of Marine Resources
The Maine DMR will be conducing a shoreline survey in North Haven beginning mid-March and continuing into November. DMR staff, with assistance from DEP officials, will be walking the shoreline and making observations about potential pollution sources to coastal waters and shellfish areas. For property owners, this means DMR staff will conduct interviews regarding the conditions of their septic systems and information about disposal of domestic animal wastes and farm operations.
If you have questions about DMR's shellfish classification program or the shoreline survey process please do not hesitate to contact the DMR Shellfish Growing Area Program in Boothbay (207-633-9500).

As of May 7, 2018 Transfer Station will be open 9 to 5 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays until further notice.

Please remember that the burn pile is restricted to brush and untreated wood. (Latex painted construction debris is allowed.) Access to and use of the burn pile is primarily on an "honor system". The Transfer Station staff cannot continuously monitor the pile. The discarding of noxious and toxic debris which ends up being burned may result in drastic action by the state Department of Environmental Protection, up to and including permanent closure.
