Ordinances & Policies

At a Special Town Meeting on June 14, 2023, the community voted to pass new zoning ordinances. 116 people voted.

The ordinances include:
As per State regulations, the Shoreland Zone Ordinance requires final approval by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The new ordinances and amendments will go into effect 30 days after final DEP approval.

The existing ordinances are still in effect. The date the new ordinances go into effect will be posted once DEP approval is obtained.
